Alex is co-owner of Lucky Elephant Yoga located in Hamilton, Bermuda, and a certified RYT500. In 2014, she completed her 300-hour advanced teacher training in Los Angeles led by internationally recognized yoga teacher, Noah Mazé. Alex’s classes are a dynamic mix of alignment, strength-building, thoughtful sequencing and fun, designed to challenge and open her students’ bodies in a progressive and safe way. Alex’s passion for yoga and her light-hearted nature shine through in her teaching as she seeks to inspire and motivate her students to fully experience their yoga practice.
Yoga Pose Foundations
The expert in anything was once a beginner. This class will give you clear and safe alignment instructions for foundational yoga poses in a welcoming and supportive environment. Lay the groundwork for your continuing practice as we cover a range of yoga poses, including standing and seated poses, twists and backbends. You will learn how to use yoga props and how to modify poses to account for physical limitation or minor injury. This class is designed for beginners, but equally an excellent opportunity for more seasoned yogis to check in with their architecture in basic poses.
Enhancing Your Stamina
Challenge your focus and stamina with this continuous asana practice that asks you to stay in the flow of awareness and alignment. You will be invited to stay present throughout the practice to fully participate in the “hard work” of the poses. As a metaphor for life, this practice deepens our commitment and inner strength to be present in the face of challenge.
