Q. Is there a special rate at the hotel for Festival participants?
A. There is a special rate. Please identify yourself as attending the Yoga Festival when you call to make your reservation. The special rates at the Grotto Bay Beach Hotel are as follows:

29th April – 1st May: (The hotel will extend this pricing to 3 days before and after, if requested).

  • $195 single or double occupancy
  • $243 triple
  • $291 four

There is an additional charge of 9.75% tax and $12 gratuity per person per day. No meals are included.

Q. What documents are required to enter Bermuda?
A. Each person entering the island of Bermuda (a British Overseas Territory) requires a valid passport. This passport is necessary to get onto your final flight to Bermuda.

Q. What is the currency in Bermuda?
A. There is a Bermuda dollar, however, it is equivalent to the US dollar and US dollars are accepted everywhere. All prices quoted in stores are inclusive of tax. Restaurants and hotels add gratuities and tax.

Q. Can I go swimming or snorkeling?
A. The water temperature in early May is about 71 degrees, which is a bit on the cool side but refreshing and invigorating. There is a dive operator at the Grotto Bay, who can take you out diving. Snorkeling gear is available for rental. Tobacco Bay in St. Georges is a good site to see coral and fish.

Q. Is there a grocery store nearby?
A. There is a big grocery store a short bus ride towards Hamilton, otherwise St Georges has several grocery stores.

Q. Do I need a driver’s license to rent a moped?
A. You do not need a driver’s license. The rental shop will test your skills before they rent you a bike to make sure you know what you are doing.

Q. I am a beginner yogi so how do I know if the classes will be too difficult for me.
A. We will rate the classes so this will become clear.

Q. I am bringing my spouse/friend and they are not interested in yoga. Is there something they can do to entertain themselves.
A. There are many activities including golf, tennis, diving, bicycling, walking the National Trust Railway Trail, exploring the old forts and historic buildings in St. Georges, just to mention a few.
